About this tool
The Inkle Loom Pattern Generator is a focused, browser-local workspace for planning a simple warp color order, reading the heddled/open sequence, and keeping your place while warping.
Inkle weavers should not need to install a large design program just to try stripe colors or prepare a readable thread order. The tool joins design, checking, printing and a resumable tracker in one short workflow.
The band preview shows warp color order. It is not a simulation of exact yarn thickness, sett, tension, beat, twist, finishing or finished width. Sample before committing expensive yarn or an important project.
Your working pattern, named library and tracker progress stay in this browser on this device. JSON gives you a portable, editable backup without requiring an account.
The alternating H/U convention was cross-checked against public learning material from Ashford, Schacht and Interweave. The tool supports either a heddled or open first thread because published projects use both conventions.
This project is not affiliated with a loom manufacturer or another pattern app. Version one deliberately avoids pickup, Baltic, Krokbragd and tablet-weaving claims until each workflow can be researched and validated separately.
